Room I
The Person

Frederic Laloux, a Belgian former McKinsey associate principal, spent three years studying twelve pioneering organizations — Buurtzorg, Morning Star, FAVI, Patagonia — for Reinventing Organizations (2014). The self-published book became a management phenomenon, giving the post-hierarchical organization its color: Teal.

Room II
The Idea in Context

Laloux mapped organizational models to developmental stages and documented 'Teal' pioneers — Buurtzorg, Morning Star — operating on self-management, wholeness, and evolutionary purpose instead of hierarchy and prediction.

The era: Human-Centered & Paradoxical — Psychological safety, vulnerability, identity, and both/and thinking. Leadership as creating the conditions for learning — and holding competing truths at once.
